The rise of remote work has changed the real estate market more than you may think.

Before the pandemic, only 21% of individuals worked from home. However a recent survey of hiring managers projected that 37.5% of U.S. workers will work remotely in some capacity over the next five years. Working from home has created some unique challenges and opportunities for renters and existing homeowners alike.

Many remote workers who no longer need to commute to the office are now realizing that they have the flexibility to move to a more affordable area or to their dream location. In fact, experts found that the pandemic caused a movement away from urban centers, especially for those with higher incomes who could afford to move AND for lower-income individuals seeking lower costs of living. Additionally, some remote workers are realizing that they really need that extra bedroom, office, or open living area to comfortably work in peace.

So if you’re a current homeowner whose needs have recently changed due to remote work or you’re a prospective buyer that’s considering making the move, let’s get in touch!
